Vet/ Practice Manager
Dr Steph has recently moved to Australia all the way from South Africa, where she completed her veterinary degree and practiced for 4 years. Dr Steph has a keen interest in medicine and soft tissue surgery. In her spare time, she loves exploring Australia and spending time with family. She has a cat named Nemo and a Yorkshire Terrier named Odey, who immigrated from South Africa with her.
DR JENNY MITCHELL
Dr Jenny grew up in Brisbane and has always been a devoted animal lover. Her fondness of animals has led her to complete three degrees! A Bachelor of Science (with a dual Zoology/Ecology major) in 2010, a Master’s degree in Animal Science in 2012, and finally a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2017.
She's very highly trained and an asset to our team - your pet is in safe hands with her. Jenny enjoys all aspects of canine and feline medicine but has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery. In her down time you’ll find Jenny practicing Pilates, baking, travelling, or relaxing on the couch with her kitty cat, Perdy.
Following a childhood on properties in NSW, then traveling through Europe working on farms with large animal veterinarians, Jess returned to Australia and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2011. Since then, she has worked in both general practice and emergency and critical care hospitals. When Jess is at home she is kept busy with her two young children and gorgeous Smithfield Cattle dog, Polar.
Sarah moved to Australia from New Zealand in January 2019. She has a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Diploma Agri-Business, Degree in Aquatic Species and has an extensive history in agriculture. Sarah has worked as a dairy farmer, agricultural technician, artificial inseminator and laboratory technician, and participated in the creation of 'Dolly', the first cloned sheep.
Sarah started her Veterinary Nursing career in birds and exotics and still loves treating these special pocket pets. Sarah also worked in Emergency practice and SPCA (New Zealand equivalent of the RSPCA). When Sarah is not at work she is training very hard to represent New Zealand in Archery at the Tokyo Olympics 2021.
Jordyn began working in the animal care industry in her senior year at high school. Jordyn has worked in busy general practice Veterinary Clinics for the past 6 years. She has completed her Certificate III in Animal Studies and is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Jordyn has a special interest in wildlife care.
At home Jordyn has a number of pets that keep her busy including Jasper the Border Collie and her three Domestic Short Hair cats, Sage, Frankie and Bandit.
Krystal started her journey with animals at the RSPCA; there, she decided she wanted to pursue a career in the Veterinary industry. She enjoyed volunteering in South Africa with animal and environmental conservation work. Krystal has a strong passion for canine behaviour and all things dog related, so she is our Puppy Preschool coordinator!
In her free time she loves to garden and keep social with friends, family and fur babies.
Ellie has a Certificate III in Companion Animal Services, has attended numerous grooming seminars and clinics, and has spent many years working alongside fellow groomers. She is passionate about beautifying all dogs & cats that come through our doors. At home, Ellie is surrounded by her beloved fur babies – rescue dog Flick the Blue Heeler, Cleocatra the cat, and ‘miniature’ pig Hamlet whom she has hand-raised from 4 days old to his current weight of 200kg!
Kennel hand / Junior Nurse
Skye's passion for animals lead her to pursue a Certificate III in Animals Studies and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She has been a part of the Belmont Road Vet crew since March 2019. Skye is a Puppy Preschool assistant and you will also see her smiley face on Saturday's if you come down for a $10 hydrobath!
When not spoiling patients with her love, Skye spoils her own fur kiddies: Bella the Birman, Gabe the German Shepherd and Honey the Labrador.
